  3. Is PERMA-SNOW™® easy to install?

    Yes.

    PERMA-SNOW™® is very easy to install to a prepared slope. It is extremely easy to replace bristle matting and other ski surfaces. We can quote for the top surface only or a complete renovation of your slope.

  4. Is PERMA-SNOW™® safe?

    Yes, PERMA-SNOW™® is very safe to ski & snowboard on. PERMA-SNOW™® is much safer than the current leading dry ski slope surface. In fact, PERMA-SNOW™® was designed and manufactured with safety in mind as a top priority.

  5. What advice can be given on the size of slopes required?

    Slopes can be varying sizes and gradients, but for certain activities there are optimal dimensions.

  6. Can PERMA-SNOW™® be hired for temporary slopes?

    Of course! We have used PERMA-SNOW™® on temporary slopes in town centres for activity days and even at larger installations such as the one we had at the O2 Arena which ran for 2 months.

    Yes we do. We supply to anyone & everyone.

    Yes it is.

  9. Is PERMA-SNOW™® suitable for hot or humid climates?

    Yes, PERMA-SNOW™® is suitable for use from -20º (-4ºF) to 60º (140ºF) and in all humidities.

  10. Does PERMA-SNOW™® require a mist system?

    PERMA-SNOW™® is sometimes used without a mist system. For reduced surface wear and lower ski base damage a mist system is recommended.

    Yes, we do provide a bespoke design and installation service.

  12. Is there a PERMA-SNOW™® agent in my country?

    No. Techmat 2000 Ltd do not have agents. We manufacture and supply PERMA-SNOW™® directly from our factory in South Wales, UK directly to the consumer so there is no middle man.

    We have installed PERMA-SNOW™® in many sites across the UK including:

  15. Can PERMA-SNOW™® be used with snow on top?

    Yes. PERMA-SNOW™® can be used with a snow covering. We do not recommend grooming with powered machinery.

  16. Can PERMA-SNOW™® be used in icy conditions?

    Yes. PERMA-SNOW™® can be used in icy conditions, although the issue of safety lies with the Ski Slope Operator.

  17. Can PERMA-SNOW™® be formed into half pipes, moguls etc?

    Yes. PERMA-SNOW™® is flexible and can be formed into shapes.

  18. Is PERMA-SNOW™® suitable for Ski Machines?

    No. We do not recommend PERMA-SNOW™® for ‘rolling road’ type Ski Machines.

  19. Must I use the underlay?

    No. We do however recommend the use of the underlay PSGripmat as it is an integral part of the PERMA-SNOW™® system. The Gripmat underlay provides drainage and cushioning for the top surface.

    Temporary and indoor slopes can have the PERMA-SNOW™® top surface attached directly to a plywood (or alternative) base.

  20. Does PERMA-SNOW™® cause premature ski and snowboard base wear?

    All synthetic ski surfaces will cause a certain amount of wear. Techmat 2000 Ltd advise the use of a misting system.
